The expense of having to spend 14 days in a quarantine hotel was a huge inconvenience to most and prohibitive for some. It is reassuring that rules and policies continue to be revised in an effort to alleviate some of the stresses many face.
Registered residents of Malta looking to return to the island from a red zone country, who are not in possession of a recognized vaccination certificate, may now apply to spend their quarantine period in their own residence; rather than at one of the official quarantine hotels.
